Bunting bearings manufactures cored and solid bars that comply to the CTG1001-K23 specification which superseded the MIL B 5687 specification.

CTG1001-K23 is a material very similar to SAE841 but with a higher carbon content and containing MIL-L-17331 non-gumming high grade oil.
